Hard to
believe but Old Goa’s population exceeded from the 16th to the 18th
century the population of Lisbon and London. It was considered the ‘Rome of the
East’. Today there is not much a city but an array of churches, museums and the
cathedral and Old Goa is a stop of every tour around Goa.
